Tails and Tales Storybook Stroll

Saturday, June 19, 2021
11:00 AM - 1:00 PM (EDT)

Event Details

Starting at the Welcome Center, take a walk through downtown Griffin with your family & friends and read "What's This Tail Saying?" by Carolyn Combs from the storefront windows. This is part of the Griffin-Spalding County's Tails & Tales Summer Reading Program and will culminate with events and activities at the Park at 6th. A map with all the participating shops will be provided so you don't miss a page!
After your reading stroll through town, head to The Park at 6th for music, crafts with 'stache studio, ice cream from City Church, and at 12:00 pm don't miss Mama Koku the Storyteller as she spins more tales for all to enjoy. There will be raffles with prizes donated by some of the local businesses.
This is a FREE event! Thanks to all the downtown businesses for helping make this event possible and supporting literacy in our community.
