Spalding Works is an expanded career awareness program for Spalding County students through a two-day Career Exploration experience hosted in partnership with the Griffin Region College & Career Academy the Griffin Spalding Chamber of Commerce and Three Rivers Regional Commission.
Presenting Sponsor:
The model provides two intentional touch-points for students:
- 8th Grade Day - Early exposure before students select high school pathways
- 9th Grade Day - A second exposure once students have entered high school and re refining pathway decisions.
This structure mirrors models used successfully in nearby districts such as Fayette, Coweta and Walton Counties.
By hosting this as a two-day event, local businesses and industry partners can set-up once and reach all students, reducing the need for multiple individual career fairs cross schools.
