Family Field Day 2025

The City of Griffin and Spalding County are bringing back Family Field Day, an event held for the first time in 2024.

Family Field Day is free to attend, with lunch included. Parents and children, elementary school-aged and up, are invited to participate in fun games and water activities set up around the soccer fields at Wyomia Tyus Olympic Park. Registration is required.

Starting at 9AM, families will rotate through stations, taking a lunch break at the playground sponsored by the Spalding County Sheriff's Office. There will be multiple hydration stations, with an inflatable sprinkler to help keep everyone cool. Parents and children are encouraged to wear clothing that can get wet.

Parents are required to stay at the event; no drop-offs will be allowed. Parents are not required to participate in the activities. There will be a viewing area in the shade. At check-in, a participation waiver must be signed by a parent or guardian for each child.
