Black Heritage Festival 2024

Saturday, February 3, 2024
4:00 PM - 5:00 PM (EST)

Event Details

The Black Heritage Festival started as the vision of a group of educators and community members who had a heart for the chorale arts in Griffin. Rosalyn Payne-Hill, a retired music educator saw students that needed financial support to travel with the choral arts groups at Griffin High School. In 2014, The Black Heritage Festival was started to raise funds to support those students. Today proceeds benefit both Griffin and Spalding High school choral arts programs. We have given a total of $22,000 in the last 7 years!

We will celebrate the 8th year on Saturday, February 3, 2024, at 4:00 p.m. at the Griffin Auditorium (234 E. Taylor St., Griffin). This is the first event since 2020 due to COVID.

We are excited to have the Morehouse Glee Club as the special guest, along with the Griffin Choral Arts group, Powerhouse Dance Talent, Griffin and Spalding High Choral programs, and other local arts groups.

Event sponsorships are available at the $500, $200, and $100 levels.

Event tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for students. They may be purchased at the door. Contact Rosalyn Payne-Hill at (770) 227-3083 for more information or to be a sponsor.
