2nd SaturdayGriffin to host Ladies Night Downtown in Partnership with
Paint the Town Pink

Ladies, need a night out? October 12th, Second Saturday’s Ladies Night Downtown, is set to host ladies as they SHOP + DINE + PARTY WITH A PUROPSE in Downtown Griffin. This special event, presented by Paint the Town Pink, The Griffin Downtown Council and Griffin Main Street Program, is in conjunction with Breast Cancer Awareness Month to celebrate, acknowledge, and show support to those affected. Ladies (and men too) are encouraged to visit the downtown starting at 5 p.m. to shop, dine, and party in the Park at Sixth with fun and unique way to give back to the cause. Plus, bring a chair and stay to enjoy the after dark concert, featuring Motown hits and contemporary favorites, from 8 p.m. to 10 p.m.

Local shops and restaurants will offer special giveaways and discounts when you DRESS IN PINK, and/or give a portion of their proceeds to benefit Breast Cancer Awareness. Corner Café, on Hill Street, will feature a specialty pink cake and give back a portion of each slice purchased.

Paint the Town Pink will transform the Park at Sixth to create a fun PINK event with tons of activities for ladies to enjoy. Smokin’ Margaritas and ‘Stache Studios will partner together to host a Sip & Paint fundraiser from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m.; where ladies can drink PINK margaritas and paint awareness pumpkins that will be displayed in memory of or in honor of someone battling cancer. Plus, ladies can play Chick Flick BINGO and Flamingo Ring Toss to win prizes from local businesses, while dancing to the DJ’s top hits and enjoying sweet treats from Small Cakes, who will give back a portion of their proceeds, and the Frios pop cart. Starting at 8 p.m. an upbeat Motown band will take the stage as the featured after dark concert. The Griffin Downtown Council and Griffin Main Street Program would like to thank Paint the Town Pink for sponsoring the activities at the Park at Sixth and giving to support Breast Cancer Awareness.

The Second Saturday Art Walk will continue with local artisans displaying their work outside participating businesses as a unique way to showcase art in the city. As you travel the streets, keep a lookout for PINK photo opt locations that have been created around downtown exclusively for Ladies Night. Take a group photo and use the hashtag #ingriffin when posting to social media. AND don’t forget to grab a GO cup from your favorite restaurant or bar, as signature PINK drinks and cocktails will be available.

Second Saturday events are free to attend and for everyone to explore all that Downtown Griffin has to offer. Each month will bring a truly unique experience and different activities to the city; including free entertainment, unique art, and special promotions at varying retailers and restaurants across downtown. If you are interested to learn more about this event, please check the “Second Saturday Ladies Night Downtown” Facebook Event Page discoverable under Griffin Downtown Council, Downtown Griffin, or City of Griffin Facebook pages, or contact the desired business for more information.
